Helpful Tips

  1. Your cat needs to travel in a carrier or on a leash
  2. Confine your cat to the house ahead of time so he doesn’t “disappear” when it’s time to get in the carrier.
  3. Withold food 2-4 hours before leaving to avoid car sickness.
  4. Ask a friend or family member to be a contact person. In case of extreme emergency, they should be able to come and get the cat.
  5. Bring your most recent veterinary records and your cat’s food
  6. Make reservations well in advance
  7. When you drop your cat off, remain calm and say a brief goodbye. Your positive attitude can help reduce any stress.
